1. Application Shortlisting Based on Merit: The initial shortlisting of applications is done based on normalized marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying degree. Engineering Candidates: For those who have completed or are in the final year of BE/B.Tech, marks obtained up to the 5th semester are used for shortlisting. Post-Graduate Candidates: For completed degrees (M.Sc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech), marks from all semesters are considered. For final year PG students, shortlisting is based on pre-final year performance. No Backlogs Allowed: Candidates will be denied the chance to appear for the next stage if they have any active backlogs at the time of document verification. 2. SSB Interview Notification: Shortlisted candidates are informed about their selection for the SSB interview via email or SMS. Testing: Candidates must download their call-up letter and report to their assigned SSB center for testing. Travel Allowance: AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for candidates appearing for the first time for this particular type of commission. 3. Medical Examination Comprehensive Check: Candidates who are successfully recommended by the SSB must undergo a medical examination at designated military hospitals. Specialist Cadres: Candidates opting for the Pilot entry must additionally clear the CPSS (Computerised Pilot Selection System) and specific Aviation Medical Examinations. 4. Final Merit List & Induction Merit List: The final merit list is prepared based purely on the marks scored in the SSB interview, subject to clearing the medical examination and the availability of vacancies. Proof of Degree: Before joining, selected merit-listed candidates must submit proof of completing their degree with at least 60% marks by emailing officer@navy.gov.in. Induction: Successful candidates are inducted into the rank of Sub Lieutenant and sent for training to the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

Starting Pay Scale Initial Gross Salary: The initial gross salary starts from approximately Rs. 1,20,000/- per month. Starting Rank: Officers are inducted directly into the rank of Sub Lieutenant. 🚀 Special Allowances Once an officer successfully completes their specialized training, they become eligible for significant monthly allowances depending on their cadre: Pilot Allowance: Rs. 31,250/- per month. Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO) Allowance: Rs. 31,250/- per month. Submarine Allowance: Rs. 31,250/- per month (admissible post successful completion of submarine training).
