As a Professor in an ESIC Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PGIMSR) or an ESIC Medical College, selected candidates join as senior-level academic and clinical leaders under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.

The primary mission of this full-time, on-site role is to establish and drive a premier medical education ecosystem. Professors are tasked with nurturing future medical professionals, leading academic research projects, and directly elevating the social security healthcare model that serves insured workers and their families across India.

• Academic Leadership: Deliver advanced medical education and clinical training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students within your chosen specialty.

• Research & Development: Lead, supervise, and publish impactful medical research in indexed national and international journals, fully realizing institutional research potential.

• Institutional Development: Actively participate in setting up, expanding, and managing specialized healthcare departments to match global medical education standards.

• NMC-Recognized Degree: A recognized medical qualification included in the First, Second, or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

• Postgraduate Qualification: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS), or a recognized equivalent qualification in the respective medical specialty or allied discipline.

• Medical Registration: Active and valid registration of MBBS and Post Graduate qualifications with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.

For Non-Medical Specialties:

• Postgraduate Degree: Master’s Degree in the concerned medical subject or allied discipline.

• Doctorate Degree: A Ph.D. / Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline.

Candidates must possess significant background experience in a recognized medical college through one of these two options:

• Option A (Senior Teaching Track): Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience as a Reader or Associate Professor in the concerned specialty.

• Option B (Research-Heavy Track): Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the concerned specialty, paired with at least 4 research publications.

Strict Research Publication Criteria (For Option B):

• Must be published or accepted in indexed or national journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties.

• The candidate must be the First Author on all four publications.

• A minimum of 2 research publications must have been published explicitly during the candidate's tenure as an Associate Professor.
